Jamal Lowe happy to seal QPR loan move early in January transfer window

QPR have signed Jamal Lowe on loan from Bournemouth.

The 28-year-old has struggled for game time since the Cherries won promotion to the Premier League in May.

“I am really pleased that we managed to get this done early in the window,” Lowe told QPR’s official website. “I can’t wait to get on the pitch, train with the boys and hopefully get into the games.

“This is about getting out and playing good football, not only to show what I can do but adding to the team.”

Lowe is set to make his debut at Reading on Saturday.

R’s head coach Neil Critchley said: “I am really excited by Jamal’s arrival and with three games coming up this month it’s great to have him in the building already.

“He is a player we have been following as a club for a considerable amount of time. He has proven experience at this level, he can play right across the frontline and I think he will complement the players we have here very, very well.

“He also brings competition to our squad in that area of the pitch.

“I want to thank the owners, Lee [Hoos], Les [Ferdinand] and the recruitment team for making it happen. Jamal had other options so for him to choose QPR to showcase his ability speaks volumes.”
