Joshua Buatsi set Latvian test as he defends WBA title on August 14
Joshua Buatsi is set to defend his WBA International light-heavyweight title against Richard Bolotniks on August 14.
The unbeaten Croydon fighter will headline Matchroom Boxing’s final Fight Camp show.
The event will take place at Matchroom’s HQ in Brentwood, Essex. It is the second summer in a row that Fight Camp has taken place.
Buatsi is 14-0 in the paid ranks and stopped Daniel Blenda Dos Santos in the fourth round in May.
The spiteful-punching Olympic bronze medallist has recorded inside-the-distance wins in his last nine outings.
Latvian Bolotniks, 31, won the MTK Global Golden Contract and is on a seven-bout victory streak.
His record stands at 18-5-1.
Catford featherweight Ellie Scotney (2-0) is booked in to feature on the second Fight Camp on August 7.
She saw her bout in Newcastle last weekend fall through after Spain’s Vanesa Caballero tested positive for Covid-19.
