Junction Elite FC launches fundraising drive to provide free football for 15-25 year olds
The club, based in Battersea and Clapham, is open for anyone between the age of 15-25.
Junction Elite are raising money to cover everything – from insurance fees to kit equipment and the cost of pitch hire and booking
referees – for their four teams.
They are looking for sponsorship, donations and raffle prizes from local businesses and have created a JustGiving page www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/junctionelite – which is aiming to raise £3,000.
Elite’s appeal states: “We already have had a successful first season winning the league and cup double.
“Our local area is becoming more dangerous for young people.
We are doing our bit to stop them just hanging around attracting trouble.”Everyone at the South London Press thanks you for your continued support.
Former Housing Secretary Robert Jenrick has encouraged everyone in the country who can afford to do so to buy a newspaper, and told the Downing Street press briefing:
“A FREE COUNTRY NEEDS A FREE PRESS, AND THE NEWSPAPERS OF OUR COUNTRY ARE UNDER SIGNIFICANT FINANCIAL PRESSURE”
If you can afford to do so, we would be so grateful if you can make a donation which will allow us to continue to bring stories to you, both in print and online. Or please make cheques payable to “MSI Media Limited” and send by post to South London Press, Unit 112, 160 Bromley Road, Catford, London SE6 2NZ
