Kishishev and Ilic to be special guests at 30-year Back To The Valley anniversary dinner

Radostin Kishishev and Sasa Ilic will be special guests at Charlton’s ‘30 Years Back To The Valley’ anniversary dinner on December 1.

Bulgarian defender Kishishev played 200 matches for the Addicks between 2000 and 2007.

Kishishev, now 48, was signed from Litex Lovech. Capped 88 times by his country, he is director of youth at Chernomorets 1919.

Keeper Ilic’s most famous moment in a Charlton shirt was his penalty shoot-out heroics in the 1998 Division One play-off final win over Sunderland which took Alan Curbishley’s side into the top flight.

Ilic made 59 appearances for the South London club before signing for Hungarian side ZTE in 2002.

Capped twice by the Serbia and Montenegro national team, he retired in 2005.

They will join players and staff from Charlton’s 1992 team at the event which includes then joint managers Alan Curbishley and Steve Gritt as well as Colin Walsh, Simon Webster, Bob Bolder and Garry Nelson.

With this year also marking 30 years of community work at Charlton Athletic, the dinner – as with all 30th anniversary events – will be raising funds for the Charlton Athletic Community Trust (CACT) with 25 per cent of the proceeds from the evening, together with the monies raised at the special auction taking place at the dinner, going to support the award-winning work of CACT.

Tickets, which include a three-course meal and wine for the table, begin at £80, plus VAT, per person. Tables start at £800, plus VAT.
