Lambeth-born Championship forward hands in Norwich City transfer request
Norwich City forward Abu Kamara has handed in a transfer request, the South London Press has been told.
The Lameth-born winger spent last season on loan at Portsmouth, helping them win League One and promotion back to the Championship after picking up 21 goal contributions in 52 outings across the campaign.
Our paper has been told that Pompey still retain an interest in signing the 21-year-old.
Premier League side Southampton are also keen but would look to loan Kamara to one of their sister clubs for the upcoming season.
Kamara has made two substitute appearances under head coach Johannes Hoff Thorup for the Canaries this season in the Championship.
He started the 4-3 win over Stevenage in the first round of the EFL Cup and picked up a goal and an assist.
Kamara has a year to go on his deal at Carrow Road, with the option to extend for a further 12 months.
Jonathan Rowe has also handed in a transfer request at Norwich this summer amid interest from Marseille.
