Leeds United loanee set to make Millwall return against Reading

Millwall manager Gary Rowett is only expecting one his sidelined players – Jamie Shackleton – to return for Saturday’s match at Reading.

The Leeds loanee missed out on last weekend’s 3-2 defeat to Norwich City due to illness.

But Shackleton should be available for this weekend’s trip to Berkshire.

Millwall are also without Billy Mitchell, Mason Bennett and Tyler Burey.

“I would presume Shacks will be back,” Rowett told the South London Press yesterday evening. “The players had Sunday and Monday off because it has been a tough period – it gave the lads a bit of a breather which was much needed.

“Shacks wasn’t far off (being available against Norwich).

“The timeframe for Billy and Mason was always going to be the international break. We hope we might get those two back for West Brom but it is still very early days.

“Tyler had a little bit of setback. There is still a bit of fluid on the muscle, he was pushing it and it didn’t feel right so we had to ease back off him. He’s been delayed by two or three weeks.”
