Lewisham Primary School Gala draws big numbers
More than 240 swimmers from 21 primary schools in the borough competed at the Lewisham Primary School Gala last Friday.
The event was organised by Saxon Crown Swimming Club.
St Dunstan’s won the freestyle event with Gordonbrock second and John Ball in third spot.
Gordonbrock finished top in the medley event, St Dunstan’s had to settle for runner-up spot with St Augustine’s taking the bronze medal.
Best girl trophies were presented to Ellen Trofimczuk from Gordonbrock (year 5) and Lyla Gibb from St Dunstan’s (year 6).
Best boy trophies went to Thomas Atkinson from St Dunstan’s (year 5) and Lucian Williams from Adamsrill (year 6).
St Dunstan’s finished top of the best school category – Gordonbrock and Fairlawn were second and third respectively.
