Lewisham Primary School Gala results – 27 primary schools competed at Glass Mill Leisure Centre

More than 270 swimmers from 27 of the borough’s primary schools arrived at Glass Mill Leisure Centre to compete in this year’s Lewisham Primary School Gala earlier this month.

The event was organised by Saxon Crown Swimming Club, supported by Lewisham Council and GLL, who provided pool space and staff free of charge.

Gold, silver and bronze medals were awarded to those who placed first, second and third places in each individual event and in freestyle and medley relays.

The freestyle relay was won by Gordonbrock, who finished two seconds faster than second-placed St Dunstan’s. Fairlawn were third.

Gordonbrock also won the medley relay with coming home first with St Dunstan’s close behind. Holy Cross picked up bronze.

Best girl trophies were presented to Jessica Millot from Kilmorie  (Year 5) and Annie Allen from St William of York (Year 6) and best boy trophies went to Ayodeji Dauda from St Dunstan’s  (Year 5) and Thomas Atkinson from St Dunstan’s (Year 6).

In the best school category, third place went to Sydenham High Prep and second to Gordonbrock.  St Dunstan’s came top and won the shield for best school.
