Life’s a beach! Brixton boxer Isaac Chamberlain lands shot at European and Commonwealth cruiserweight titles
Isaac Chamberlain is set for a crossroads fight against Chris Billam-Smith in Bournemouth on July 30.
It is the 28-year-old Brixton puncher’s biggest bout since he dropped a unanimous points decision to Lawrence Okolie early in 2018.
Chamberlain has won five straight since his sole reverse but in relatively low-key affairs.
This time he can wrench the European and Commonwealth cruiserweight titles off Billam-Smith, who will enjoy home advantage.
The 31-year-old champion’s only blemish in the pro ranks is a split decision defeat to Walworth’s Richard Riakporhe in July 2017.
Chamberlain has not fought since a first round knockout of Dilan Prasovic in Crystal Palace in December.
His clash with Billam-Smith will be on a BOXXER show and screened live on Sky Sports.
