Lyle Taylor set to travel up to Middlesbrough with Charlton squad next weekend

BY LOUIS MENDEZ

Lyle Taylor is still on course to feature at Middlesbrough next weekend.

The Charlton striker has been missing since suffering a knee injury on international duty with Monserrat back in early September.

Jonny Williams is edging nearer contention, but defender Tom Lockyer will miss the clash due to suspension after picking up a yellow card during the 3-1 home loss against Sheffield Wednesday.

Bowyer has been without up to fourteen first-teamers recently but he can finally some light at the end of the tunnel.

“Jonny may be back training next week, but Lyle for sure [could be involved at Middlesbrough],” said Bowyer.

“He’s down to train with us Thursday and Friday. He was outside today kicking balls again and he was fine. Hopefully we can get the next few days and then he will be travelling to Middlesbrough.

“Stupid booking,” added the Addicks boss on the card for Lockyer, who was booked for dissent.

“Silly. Now we miss him next week, as if we haven’t got enough people out he wants a silly booking for dissent. That was probably the only down thing from today.”
