Middlesbrough agree two-year contract with QPR goalkeeper Joe Lumley

Joe Lumley has signed for Middlesbrough on a free transfer, ending a 10-year spell with QPR.
The former Spurs youngster turned down a new contract from the R’s because he is seeking regular first-team football.
Lumley has been with QPR since he was 16 and has made 84 appearances for QPR. He made his debut at Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup in January 2016, aged 20.
After leaving QPR, Lumley posted a farewell message on Instagram: “I want to say a massive thank you to everyone at QPR for the past 10 years.
“To all the players I have played with from the youth team up until now, every staff member, coach and manager that has helped me become the goalkeeper I am, the owners for giving me an opportunity to fulfil my dream of playing professional football and most of all to the fans who have supported me through the ups and downs!
“It was a very hard decision to not re-sign but for myself I feel I needed a new chapter and a new challenge. Thank you everyone.”
Lumley made  last appearance for QPR came in their 1-0 win against Swansea City at The Liberty Stadium back in April.
