Millwall agree fee with Rangers for Zak Lovelace return
Millwall have agreed a deal with Scottish side Rangers to bring Zak Lovelace back to South London.
The striker became the club’s second youngest-ever debutant when he came on against Coventry City in December 2021, aged 15 years and 340 days.
But Lovelace turned down a professional deal – after making five senior appearances for Millwall – to sign with Glasgow Rangers in July 2022.
The fact that Lovelace moved cross-border also hindered the compensation the Lions would have been due at the time.
The now 19-year-old wants to move back down South after featuring eight times for Rangers’ senior side.
He has reportedly turned down a contract extension at Ibrox this term.
