Millwall assistant boss happy with man-of-the-match display from winger

Adam Barrett was delighted with Connor Mahoney after the winger produced a man of the match display in Millwall’s 3-1 win over Cheltenham Town.
The winger scored Millwall’s second goal of the game as Lions brushed aside their League Two opponents in the EFL Cup.
“I was delighted for him,” said Barrett.
“Connor is a fantastic talent and he’s got a hell of a lot of talent and he took his goal really well tonight, it’s about becoming more consistent now.”
Tom Bradshaw started on the left of the front three and provided the assist for Ryan Leonard’s opening goal and Barrett was pleased with his performance.
“Bradders works his socks off – he is such an honest player.
“He had one at the end there when it went through in his left foot and just past the post.”
The former Barnsley man has not scored a goal in any competition since he got Millwall’s equaliser in their 3-1 win against Luton Town on New Year’s Day.
Barrett said: “I’m sure if he keeps working and keeps applying himself the way he is then that goal will come and then hopefully he’ll be up and running.”
