Millwall boost as Tom Bradshaw set to be back for Hull City Championship clash
Tom Bradshaw is set to be back in Millwall’s squad for tomorrow’s Championship match at Hull City.
The Wales international has been absent with a hamstring injury.
But Lions head coach Joe Edwards confirmed in his pre-match press conference that Bradshaw should be in contention.
Asked how close he is to returning, the former Chelsea and Everton coach said: “Very close.
“He has been out training this week with no issues. I’m hoping he can be available for selection possibly.”
Michael Obafemi made his debut for the South Londoners as a late substitute in their 1-1 draw against Preston North End last weekend.
Asked if he should get more minutes against the Tigers, Edwards said: “Yeah, I would hope so.
“As I pre-empted before the Preston game, the stage we brought him on was kind of us, at that point, only doing a couple of days training to prepare him for that game.
“That was the limit we were happy to expose him to.
“He was coming through a messy week or two – he wasn’t coming from an injury. The fact he was able to get those minutes under his belt, in a proper game, and now he’s had a full week with us, he certainly is in a much better position that he was last week, before the Preston game.”
