Millwall boss confirms Jordan Archer dropped from matchday 18

BY RICHARD CAWLEY

Neil Harris revealed that Jordan Archer was dropped from Millwall’s matchday 18 for today’s 2-1 defeat to Swansea City.

Ben Amos started in goal for the Lions with David Martin on the bench.

“Jordan was left out of the starting 11,” said Harris. “I chose not to put him in the starting 11 and I just alluded there [earlier in the press conference] that the mentality of the group is not good enough at the moment, so David Martin came into the squad.

“Jordan wasn’t injured.

“We’re getting punished for every mistake we make – the goals to chances ratio is unbelievably ridiculous but I don’t buy into that. You make your own luck and the mentality hasn’t been good enough.

“It has to be better from my group of players, because I won’t accept anything less.”
