Millwall boss keen to look at the positives after Rotherham stalemate

BY RICHARD CAWLEY

Neil Harris wanted to focus on the positives from Millwall’s 0-0 draw with Rotherham today.

The Lions struggled to click at The Den and follow up their FA Cup upset of Everton.

“I’d rather look at the positives – 11 points from six games – rather than look at the performance second half and the chance we missed at the end,” said Harris.

“Most people came to the ground expecting after the Lord Mayor’s show.

“In the first half we played some really good stuff against a very difficult opponent to play against in their style of play.

“I was relatively pleased with it and wanted us to go on and boss the game.

“But we weren’t brave enough with the ball, we could’ve controlled possession a little bit better than we did. We never really got any sustained pressure on their goal area – that’s a disappointment for me.

“The positives are that it is a clean sheet. We stood strong against the biggest team I’ve ever seen on a football pitch and the most direct, they play it very well.”
