Millwall boss Neil Harris: Den will be rocking for FA Cup tie against Brighton

Millwall manager Neil Harris got the home draw he wanted in last night’s FA Cup quarter-final draw – and says the Den will be “rocking” when they face Brighton.

The Lions knocked out Everton on home turf in the fourth round and can add the Seagulls to their list of Premier League scalps – with Leicester, Watford and Bournemouth all victims in the 2016-17 campaign.

Harris told the South London Press: “It will certainly be a cracking atmosphere. Brighton fans travel really well and get behind their team. It is a huge occasion – the quarter-finals of the best competition in the world.

“The Den will be rocking. We saw what it was like against Everton – it will be exactly the same for Brighton. It is something the players can look forward to nearer the time.

“I’m really pleased with being at home – first and foremost for the fans. It’s not been the most straightforward of seasons so far and we’ve got a lot of difficult games coming up, starting with Derby on Wednesday.

“But to be at home in the quarter-finals, against a Premier League side, is a good draw. We’ve got to make sure we approach the occasion, when we get to it, in the right manner – as I know the players will – and try and cause an upset.”

Millwall’s last meeting with Brighton was a 0-0 draw at The Den in March 2015.
