Millwall boss Neil Harris: We fully deserved to beat West Bromwich Albion

BY RICHARD CAWLEY

Neil Harris felt his Millwall side fully justified the three points as they dented West Bromwich Albion’s promotion charge at The Den.

Ryan Tunnicliffe scored the opening goal for the Lions before Ben Thompson’s wickedly-hit cross was turned home by a Baggies player.

And Harris felt his side have chained together impressive displays.

“That’s four games we have done that,” said the Millwall boss. “Birmingham away, Brighton at home in the cup and Leeds last weekend. We were very, very good there – but Leeds were better than us in the end.

“Today we dominated large parts of the game. We deserved the win, without a shadow of doubt.

“We were a little bit fortunate today with the two goals and the missed penalty. It would have been a travesty if we didn’t win the game.”
