Millwall boss plays down transfer window talk surrounding Wolves-linked Japhet Tanganga

Millwall head coach Alex Neil says there has not been any “serious interest” in terms of transfer approaches for Japhet Tanganga.

The former Tottenham centre-back has been the Lions’ star performer in the first half of the Championship season.

Wolves were recently linked with Tanganga, who signed for Millwall after being released by Tottenham in the summer.

Asked by the South London Press about mooted Premier League interest in the defender. Asked if he expected Tanganga to stay in this window, Neil said: “But it is just speculation. I’m not going to say that to you (that he will be staying) and Japhet is going to leave tomorrow. But I’m unaware of anything apart from probably paper talk surrounding Japhet.

“There has not been any discussion in regards to anybody showing any serious interest in Japhet.”
