Millwall boss provides injury update on De Norre and Bryan ahead of Stoke City clash

Casper de Norre remains a doubt for Millwall’s home game against Stoke City on Saturday but manager Gary Rowett is more optimistic that Joe Bryan will be back available for selection.

The duo both missed Sunday’s 3-1 defeat at Norwich City.

“I think Joe should be okay,” Rowett told the South London Press. “He just took a bang, and jarred his back and neck a little bit. It was one of those that it was too soon to play in the game. That has settled down quite well.

“He should be fine, I would think, for the latter end of the week but we’ll see how he trains.

“If he was fit and available then it probably changes how we approach the [Norwich] game because we did quite a lot of work up until Saturday on how we were going to play – Joe was quite a big part of that.

“Casper probably might need another week. We haven’t ruled him out yet but I imagine he would need another week. He is making slow progress from his back injury but should be next week that he’s back fine.”
