Millwall boss responds to claims of £1.5m bid for Senegalese striker Pape Habib Gueye

Gary Rowett has confirmed an interest in KV Kortrijk’s Pape Habib Gueye but says reports Millwall have bid £1.5million for the Senegalese striker are incorrect.

The 22-year-old plays in Belgium’s Jupiler Pro League and has scored six goals in 18 appearances this season.

It had been claimed that Millwall’s approach for Gueye had been rejected.

“I am respectful he is at another club,” said Rowett.

“Some of the links you see are a little bit tenuous. He is a player we’ve had interest in, but I think he is injured at the moment. We certainly haven’t put any offers in for that player, or any other player at this moment in time.

“There is a little something in that, but not a huge deal at the moment.”

Rowett wouldnt know a good player if he bumped into one in the street. He is a disaster….Letting Jed GO is crazy – encouraging Thommo to go by not playing him is as bad – especially when you look at some of the MF pedestrians he continues to favour ahead of Thommo.
I thought Harris was a bad manager in the end – but not as bad as what we have now. Just look at his track record – full of mediocrity. The manager and only the manager can be blamed for our recent defeat to Bristol City – yet again stupid pointless defensively biased substitutions. He couldnt run a good Sunday side.
