Neil Harris is keeping a tight lid on Millwall’s transfer moves – with claims that the Championship outfit have tabled a bid for Barnsley striker Tom Bradshaw.

The 25-year-old Tykes frontman, capped three times by Wales, is heading into the final year of his contract at Oakwell.

Sheffield-based press have reported that the Lions want the Shrewsbury-born forward, who joined Barnsley from Walsall in July 2016.

Bradshaw has scored 74 goals in 271 matches – notching 10 times for the Tykes last season, a respectable haul considering they eventually lost their Championship status.

Two of those goals came in a 3-1 win at Millwall in late September.

“At this stage of the summer a lot of stories make the press that aren’t always factually correct,” said Lions boss Harris. “Naturally we enquire about players’ positions and that can sometimes be just for our own knowledge.

“People can use that to say you’re interested in a player when you are not always interested. Then there are some who we are interested in.

“Naturally at this point of the off-season you do get linked with players up and down the country.

“There are some elements of truth in some of them and not in others.”

One link that is understood to be wide of the mark is to Motherwell winger Chris Cadden.

The talk north of the border has been that Millwall and Wigan are jostling for the 21-year-old’s signature – valued at £1million – but he is not on their shortlist of targets.

The Lions are still working on bringing in a wideman after missing out on Ben Marshall, who agreed a deal with Norwich City.
