Millwall confirm deal for exciting Irish attacker Aidomo Emakhu

Millwall have confirmed the signing of Aidomo Emakhu from Shamrock Rovers.

The 19-year-old attacker, capped by Republic of Ireland at U19 level, will officially become a Lions player on January 1.

But Emakhu flew over to England earlier this week and is able to train with the South Londoners until his transfer goes through.

“The striker will feature for Kevin Nugent’s U21s side, with a view to making the step up to first-team action in due course,” said Millwall in a statement on their official website.

Emaku has scored in the Europa Conference League, Europa League and Champions League qualifying for Shamrock.

He came through Shamrock’s youth academy to make his debut in May 2021 against Derry.

“Aidomo’s speed, strength and skill have made him one to watch for the time ahead and his directness has earned him a fondness from many Rovers fans already,” is how Emakhu is described in his bio on Rovers’ website.
