Millwall could allow some loan exits before transfer window closes

Millwall manager Gary Rowett has revealed that some of his squad could head out on loan before tomorrow’s transfer deadline.
Lions midfielder Billy Mitchell, 18, has started their FA Cup matches this month but is set to drop back down the pecking order as Shaun Williams has served his ban.
Jayson Molumby and Ryan Woods started in the 3-2 loss at Leeds United on Tuesday night with Ben Thompson and Ryan Leonard also to return from injuries.
Rowett said: “We’ve got one or two loan options with the young players. It’s important if they do go out that it’s at the right level that is going to test them enough.
“We’ll make those decisions. We’re not desperate to get anyone out but it might mean we can get games for someone like Billy, who has done brilliantly and proven he can be part of what we’re doing.
“But for his development he might be able to get 15 games on loan at a League One or League Two club.
“That could get him closer to the first-team by the summer. We’ll make a call on that with one or two boys on the fringes.”
