Millwall could be set to revisit couple of January transfer targets in summer

Gary Rowett is happy with Millwall’s patient approach in the transfer market – revealing there were a couple of targets who could be revisted in the summer.
The Lions did a permanent deal for goalkeeper Bart Bialkowski and signed Ryan Woods and Mason Bennett on loan from Stoke and Derby respectively in the January window.
“There were a couple of players this window that we thought ‘do we try and push the boat out?’ – but those deals will probably be far more straightforward in the summer,” said Rowett, left.
“We want to push and be ambitious but we try to do it in a sensible way. We could push harder but leave ourselves in a poorer place in the summer. We have to mitigate the risk.
“John [Berylson, owner] backed our ideas by bringing the likes of Mason and Ryan in plus signing Bart.
“We won’t be blowing our boots to try and get somewhere a little quicker because I don’t necessarily think that improves you quickly. If you look at the model of some of the better sides in the division, they’ve improved slowly over time. It’s something we’ll look to do.
“I’ll sit down with Alex [Aldridge, head of recruitment] and his team and go through what we think is required long term. I think you usually plan a window in advance.”
