Millwall defender set for switch to Championship new boys
BY RICHARD CAWLEY
Millwall defender Jason McCarthy is set to join Wycombe Wanderers on a permanent basis.
The South London Press understands the two clubs are in negotiations, with both parties confident a deal will be struck for the 24-year-old to head back to Adams Park.
McCarthy was signed by the Lions last summer from the Chairboys but he failed to budge Mahlon Romeo as the first-choice right-back in SE16.
And he headed back to Wycombe in January.
Wanderers are in the Championship this season after winning promotion via the League One play-offs.
McCarthy has made five appearances for the Lions.
