Millwall get major piece of good news ahead of Stoke City – as key attacker set to return

Millwall manager Gary Rowett is hoping to have Tom Bradshaw back involved on Saturday against Stoke City.

The Lions have suffered numerous injuries this season but welcomed Liverpool loanee Sheyi Ojo back on to the bench for last night’s 2-0 victory against Huddersfield.

Bradshaw has scored seven goals this season – including netting in five games straight in November and December – but then suffered a knee injury in the 1-0 home loss to Forest in mid-January.

Rowett told the South London Press: “I only wanted to use him [Ojo] if I really needed him.

“We’ve got him back on the bench, where he’s available for probably 15 minutes – and that’s about as good as we can get at the moment.

“He’s looked good in the couple of days of training – that’s all we’ve had. We’re hoping that we might get Bradders back on to the bench for the weekend. But, again, he won’t quite be match ready so it’s just about getting more bodies. Zak Lovelace got injured in the U17’s game yesterday, so he was unavailable.

“We hope that for one more game, we may get a body or two back on the bench. But certainly seeing those players coming back will give the players extra impetus.

“I would imagine after the international break we will have three or four back involved and that issue will be put to bed and then it will be simply can we win games?”
