Millwall injury news ahead of Wigan Athletic match – fresh selection doubt for Lions

Benik Afobe and Ryan Leonard both remain doubts for Millwall ahead of this weekend’s home game against Wigan Athletic – with Barnsley loanee Callum Styles also picking up a niggle on Saturday.

Striker Afobe has not featured since the 1-0 defeat at Huddersfield at the end of October due to a knee injury which required an injection.

The versatile Leonard injured his hamstring in mid-August.

Winger Tyler Burey was not in the Millwall squad for Saturday’s 3-0 reverse at Sunderland. Illness had kept the former AFC Wimbledon youngster out of training for around 10 days.

“Again we’ll assess Benik as the week goes on,” Lions boss Rowett told the South London Press. “Lenny, the same.

“We’d hope that Tyler, by the weekend, will be okay for selection. He will have had a week’s training.

“Stylesy [Callum Styles] picked up a bit of a calf strain at the weekend. We’re just trying to find out the severity of it.”
