Millwall linked with summer swoop for League One forward

Millwall have been linked with a summer move for Shrewsbury Town striker Daniel Udoh.

The 25-year-old has scored 15 goals in all competitions this season and Football Insider claim that the Lions had a scout in attendance at the recent League One match against Ipswich Town.

They add that Udoh is under contract until the summer of 2023.

The frontman scored the Shrews’ goal when they lost 4-1 at Liverpool in the FA Cup third round.

Millwall will look to strengthen their frontline in the close season with loanees Benik Afobe and Oliver Burke set to return to parent clubs Stoke City and Sheffield United.

The Lions allowed Matt Smith and Jon Dadi Bodvarsson to join Salford City and Bolton Wanderers in the January transfer window.

It is set to be a hectic summer on the recruitment front for the South London club. We revealed recently that Connor Mahoney would not be offered new terms.

Experienced centre-back Alex Pearce is also set to be a free agent at the end of July.
