Millwall look to end win wait at QPR as they open 2021-22 Championship season with derby test
Millwall kick off their 2021-22 Championship campaign with a derby at QPR on August 7 – aiming to end a six-game winless run against their London neighbours.
The Lions lost 3-2 in the same fixture last season and have not taken maximum points at Rangers since February 1989.
Gary Rowett’s side follow up with Den dates against Blackburn Rovers (August 14) and Fulham (August 17) before travelling to Wales to face Cardiff City (August 21). Newly-promoted Blackpool head to SE16 on August 28 to wrap up the opening month of action.
Millwall are at home to Swansea City on Boxing Day and are at Bristol City on New Year’s Day.
West Brom visit on January 29 with Sheffield United – another club that has lost Premier League status – arriving on February 26.
The Lions go to Fulham on February 8.
Millwall finish with an away day at AFC Bournemouth on May 7, with their final match on home soil against Peterborough on April 30.
