Millwall set to continue to open some of North Stand for home fans for select fixtures next season
The Den’s North Stand is set to be open to home fans for some games next season after a successful trial in Saturday’s fixture against Peterborough.
Normally only the top tier is open and only houses away fans.
But demand for tickets saw Posh supporters placed in one upper quandrant.
The crowd of 16,705 was Millwall’s second biggest of the Championship campaign.
The Lions are likely to open up part of that stand for future fixtures where the away take-up is smaller – Wigan, Preston North End or Blackpool all prime examples – if they stay in the second tier.
