Millwall striker move could hinge on incoming deals
Harry Smith could be set for another loan exit from Millwall – but boss Neil Harris admits that is likely to be dictated by his incoming transfer plans.
The former Folkestone Invicta frontman spent the first half of the campaign on loan at Swindon Town but struggled to command a regular starting slot in Wiltshire.
The 22-year-old scored three goals in 19 matches for Swindon.
Stevenage have been linked with a move for Smith.
“The reason these boys go out on loan is to experience the highs and lows of winning and losing games, knocking on a manager’s door to ask why they are not playing – everything that goes with being a first-teamer,” said Harris.
“He’ll come back to us now and ideally we’ll send him back out again for the second half of the season. But that could be dictated by where we’re at and who we bring in during this transfer window.”
