Millwall to face non-league opposition away for first time in FA Cup since February 2013 – and last defeat against a team from that level was in 1996

Millwall will face Boreham Wood in the FA Cup – the first non-league club they have faced away in the competition since February 2013.

James Henry, Rob Hulse and Dany N’Guessan were on target in a 3-0 victory at Luton Town, who were then a Conference Premier outfit.

The Lions went on to reach the semi-finals – losing to eventual winners Wigan Athletic at Wembley.

Millwall have not been beaten by non-league opposition since November 1996. Former Chelsea and Fulham striker Clive Walker netted as Woking defeated the South Londoners in a replay after the initial tie ended 2-2.

The Lions have often had home advantage in recent years with 12 of their 15 most recent FA Cup games at The Den.

Boreham Wood secured their passage to the third round with a 3-0 victory at Canvey Island on Monday.

All third round ties will take place between January 8-11.
