Millwall v Birmingham City line-ups: Steve Morison back for Lions with Mahlon Romeo also starting

BY RICHARD CAWLEY

Steve Morison is back in the Millwall side for tonight’s home game against Birmingham City – after missing Saturday’s 1-1 draw against Bolton Wanderers with a hamstring injury.

It is the Lions captain’s first start for the Lions since September 29 – as Tom Elliott and Lee Gregory got a run together in the attack.

But Elliott is out with a hamstring injury, coming off at the weekend, making Morison’s return all the more timely.

Mahlon Romeo, who replaced Conor McLaughlin just after the hour mark against Bolton, is preferred at right-back with Jordan Archer retaining his place in goal even though Ben Amos is eligible again to feature.

Millwall are looking to stretch their unbeaten run at The Den to five matches. And they have also won their last three fixtures against the Blues without conceding a goal.

Former Charlton centre-back Michael Morrison captains Birmingham City. Garry Monk’s side were unbeaten in October, winning four and drawing once, but have taken one point from a possible nine this month.

Millwall: Archer, Romeo, Cooper, Hutchinson, Meredith, Williams, Leonard, J Wallace, Ferguson, Gregory, Morison. Subs: Amos, McLaughlin, Tunnicliffe, Karacan, O’Brien, M Wallace, Skalak.
