Millwall v Cheltenham Town team line-ups – Seven changes made by Rowett in EFL Cup

Gary Rowett has made seven changes to the side that drew 0-0 against Stoke City on the opening day of the Championship season, as Millwall look to book a place in the third round of the EFL Cup.

Murray Wallace replaces club captain Alex Pearce who is not involved at all, Shaun Hutchinson captains the side on his absence as Millwall revert to the back three that saw them through the first round at Crawley Town. Mahlon Romeo makes his first appearance since the 4-3 defeat against QPR in July. Shane Ferguson replaces Scott Malone at left wing-back.

Tom Bradshaw comes in on the left side of the front three which also sees recalls for Matt Smith and Connor Mahoney both of whom started the 3-1 win at Crawley in the first round.

There is also a recall for Ryan Woods who was forced to sit out the season opener against Stoke as he was ineligible to face his parent club.

Jed Wallace, Mason Bennett and Jon Dadi-Bodvarsson are named among the Lions substitutes.

Millwall: Bialkowski; Romeo, M Wallace, Cooper, Hutchinson, Ferguson; Leonard, Woods, Bradshaw, Smith, Mahoney. Subs: Wright, J Wallace, Thompson, Malone, Bennett, Bodvarsson, Skalak.

Cheltenham: Griffiths; Hussey, Tozer, Raglan, Thomas, Reid, May, Blair, Boyle, Bonds, Sercombe. Subs: Harris, Clements, Williams, Addai, Freestone, Azaz, Lloyd.
