Millwall winger Tyler Burey suffers slight setback as he rehabs from hamstring injury

Tyler Burey’s return from injury is set to pushed back by at least another week after the Millwall winger suffered a tiny setback in his rehab.

The former AFC Wimbledon attacker had been impressing on loan at Hartlepool United before a hamstring injury disrupted his stay.

Burey, 20, had scored three goals in seven appearances for the League Two side but has been unavailable since early September.

“He was back having a bit of treatment with us and felt his hamstring a tiny bit towards the end of his rehab,” said Lions manager Gary Rowett. “It might delay his return to Hartlepool.

“We were hoping to get a week’s training and then maybe a week where he is involved with the 23s before sending his back into a mad period, knowing he is fully fit.

“We’ll see if this sets him back much. I don’t think it will be too bad. It will maybe set him back a week.”
