Millwall’s 2023-24 pre-season schedule confirmed

Millwall will play Gillingham, Sutton United, Charlton and Fortuna Sittard in pre-season friendlies ahead of the 2023-24 Championship season.

The Lions’ squad will return to Calmont Road for day one of pre-season on Wednesday, June 28, before heading out to Spain for a week-long training camp in the Mediterranean heat.

On their return from Spain, Gary Rowett’s team will take part in a number of friendly matches to get ready for the big kick-off in early August.

Firstly, a visit to Kent will see The Lions face Neil Harris’ Gillingham side at Priestfield Stadium on Saturday, July 15 – (kick-off 1pm).

A trip to Sutton United will follow on Tuesday, July 18 – (kick-off 7.45pm). The Lions then welcome local rivals Charlton Athletic – (Tuesday, July 25, kick-off 7.45pm) – to The Den.

A final pre-season match will see Millwall take on Eredivisie side Fortuna Sittard in SE16 – (Saturday, July 29, kick-off 1pm) – with just one week to go until matchday one.

In addition, Millwall will play two behind-closed-doors training matches in a bid to gain extra sharpness ahead of the Sky Bet Championship campaign.

The club is working on arrangements for a further friendly, which will be accessible to fans, but this has not yet been finalised. The Lions will make a separate announcement should this change.

Ticket details for the fixtures listed above will be communicated on millwallfc.co.uk as soon as possible.
