Millwall’s on-loan attacker Zian Flemming impressing Burnley boss – with two excellent goals in big win at Plymouth

Burnley boss Scott Parker has talked about Millwall loanee Zian Flemming’s rich scoring vein of form.

The Amsterdam-born attacker joined the Clarets at the end of the summer transfer window with the former Premier League club having an obligation to buy.

Flemming scored twice in Burnley’s 5-0 win at Plymouth on Wednesday, meaning the former Fortuna Sittard man has netted seven goals in his last six away games.

The first was a superb first-time volley from Josh Brownhill’s pass to put Parker’s side on their way to an emphatic victory.

“I’m pleased because any striker judges themselves on goals,” said Parker. “And at this present moment in time he’s finding the net really well.

“He is an incredible professional, first and foremost. He is always wanting to do extra after training and looks after himself in the gym. He recovers in the right way.

“We have seen in small snippets what he has brought to us. He’s given us a platform in certain moments that we can mix our game up. I’ve been nothing but impressed with him.

“It is pleasing in the last few weeks he has been able to execute and we have given him an opportunity. As you have seen tonight he is a very clean finisher of the ball. Long may that continue.”
