‘More determined’ – West Brom boss Carlos Corberan assesses Millwall clash

West Brom boss Carlos Corberan says the draw at Cardiff before the international break has made his side “more determined” to pick up all three points against Millwall tomorrow.

The Baggies took the lead at the Cardiff City Stadium through Daryl Dike but were forced to share the points with the Bluebirds thanks to Sory Kaba’s 65th-minute strike.

Millwall head to the Hawthorns after suffering a 1-0 defeat to relegation-threatened Huddersfield Town before the international break.

West Brom are ninth and five points off Millwall, who are sixth in the Championship table and three points clear of seventh-placed Norwich City.

“Millwall are a very competitive team and they are inside the top six because they deserve to be there,” Corberan told West Brom’s website.

“We’re going to respect them, just as we do every team in this division.

“We’re up against a team in the play-off positions and we have to show our best level and be focused on what we can do to get three points.

“The three points are very important whether you play against a team who are ahead of you in the table or below you.

“We’ve had the international break and now we have a full desire to come back to action again, especially at home with our fans behind us.

“We’re going to compete and fight for the three points on Saturday. We couldn’t achieve that in our last game before the break, down at Cardiff, and that’s made us more determined to make sure we get a victory this weekend.

“It’s a very, very important game.”
