Non-League round-up: Bromley and Dulwich both lose at home

Bromley are now three points off the top five of the National League after their 3-1 defeat to Barnet on Tuesday evening.

Charlton loanee Charles Clayden gave Andy Woodman’s side the lead when he tapped James Vennings’ cross along the face of goal past Laurie Walker.

But Idris Kanu’s 85th-minute equaliser and an added-time double from Harry Pritchard gave Barnet all three points.

“I thought Barnet were very good,” Woodman told Bromley’s official media.

“In the first half, we couldn’t get to grips with them. They pressed us, we couldn’t get any passes going, and they caused us problems.

“We had a chat at half time and changed how we were going to go about it in the second half, and we looked okay. But we get beat by a couple of terrific strikes.

“We have got to work out how to grind matches out – all of us.”

The Raves travel to mid-table Maidenhead United tomorrow looking to close the gap to the top five.

Dulwich Hamlet suffered their first defeat since Paul Barnes was named permanent manager after they lost 1-0 at home to Worthing.
