Non-league round-up: Bromley up to third in National League as they stretch unbeaten run to six matches

Bromley are up to third in the National League after a 4-1 win at King’s Lynn stretched their unbeaten run to six matches.

The Ravens led 3-0 at the break with James Alabi, Michael Cheek and Liam Trotter all on target.

And although Simon Power cut the deficit early in the second period, on-loan Portsmouth striker Reeco Hackett-Fairchild restored their healthy cushion in the 55th minute.

“I’ve just said to the boys that we seem to be doing it back to front – drawing at home and winning away,” said Bromley manager Neil Smith.

“They are a good side. We were clinical. Everything we missed on Saturday we did on Tuesday. James got the early goal, then Cheeky – Trots then scoring, it was a brilliant away performance.

“You start from the back, you need to be solid there. When we had the chances we took them.

“Trots and Billy Bingham were outstanding. He [Trotter] has given us all that experience but he also gets in the box.

“Once we got the second goal it was game over. It’s been a massive shift from the boys, so fair play to them.”

Bromley, who have taken 12 points from a possible 18, are at home to Stockport tomorrow.

Dulwich Hamlet head to Hungerford Town tomorrow in National League South.

They did not play last weekend as the ongoing problem with the floodlight pylon at the Dog Kennel Hill meant their fixture against St Albans City had to be postponed.

Hamlet are looking to build on their 4-1 victory at Bath City when they were last in action.
