Non-league round-up: Dulwich Hamlet toothless in Hampton & Richmond Borough defeat

Dulwich Hamlet saw an early goal struck off on Saturday – but rarely looked like hitting the back of the net in a 2-0 home reverse to Hampton & Richmond Borough.
The result leaves Gavin Rose’s side just above the drop zone in National League South. It is a fifth defeat in eight matches and the fourth time they have been unable to score.
Nathan Ferguson bundled the ball home in the fourth minute but the referee penalised a handball.
Dipo Akinyemi’s shot was tipped over by Tom Lovelock before former Charlton striker Chris Dickson produced two off-target efforts for the visitors.
Hamlet went 1-0 down on 31 minutes. Sanchez Ming lost the ball and Craig Dundas finished off Daniel Uchechi’s pass.
Rhys Murrell-Williamson could have made the deficit bigger before the break.
Dickson got his goal in the 56th minute – winning a penalty after Quade Taylor brought him down. He stepped up to confidently dispatch the spot kick.
Hamlet had badly struggled to create openings of their own although Lovelock denied Ferguson in a one-v-one encounter.
Preston Edwards ensured that Dulwich did not fall further behind with Taylor also producing a vital block to deny substitute Matthew Whichelow.
Dulwich Hamlet are at home to Wealdstone on Saturday.
Tooting & Mitcham suffered a second league defeat of the season in the Isthmian South Central Division as they lost 3-0 at second-placed Hayes & Yeading.
They are at home to Ashford Town (Middx) on Saturday.
Bromley produced a huge fightback against Maidenhead in the National League on Saturday – scoring twice in the closing stages.
Neil Smith’s side were trailing 2-0 at York Road with Adrian Clifton and Josh Kelly on target in either half.
But Frankie Sutherland reduced the deficit in the 90th minute before George Porter ensured they took a point back home.
The result leaves Bromley 14th in the standings.
They are back in action tonight as they host Barnet.
Greenwich Borough picked up their first victory in the Isthmian South East Division with a 2-1 success at Herne Bay.
Teshuane Tyreece Walters put the South Londoners ahead after just 36 seconds but Bradley Schafer levelled in the ninth minute.
Walters restored Borough’s advantage on 27 minutes.
Fisher have a replay tonight against Corinthian after their FA Vase tie finished 4-4 after extra-time.
The Fish were 3-0 down after 32 minutes but battled back to make it 3-3 with goals from Trey Small, Ritchie Hammill and Mudiagha Wanogho – the latter a 90th-minute leveller.
Hamill got his second goal to put the home side 4-3 ahead before Corinthian ensured the two teams would do it all again in midweek.
Michael Tahm scored a hat-trick – with all three coming in extra-time – as Colliers Wood United won 3-1 against Stansfeld in the same competition.
Lewisham Borough lost 2-1 at home to Broadbridge Heath. Charlie Scrivener was their goalscorer.
Tino Carpene’s 85th-minute penalty was only a consolation for Balham as they were dumped out 3-1 by Sheppey United.
Cray Wanderers are second in Isthmian League South East Division and won 2-0 at home to East Grinstead Town.
An own goal by Callum Emptage in the first half put the Wands on the way to extending their 100 per cent record with Ben Mundele also notching.
