Non-league round-up: Sheriff rides in to save the day for Dulwich Hamlet
Decarrey Sheriff scored an 89th-minute penalty to secure a 3-3 draw for Dulwich Hamlet against Hemel Hempstead Town on Saturday.
The South Londoners had taken a fifth minute lead in front of a Champion Hill crowd of 2,489 – Dan Thompson’s shot taking a big deflection to wrong-foot goalkeeper Laurie Walker.
But a mistake by Nathan Mavila allowed Joe Howe to level soon after.
Jordan Parkes then struck a quick-fire brace to have the visitors in a comfortable position with half an hour on the clock.
Thompson had his second of the afternoon on 36 minutes. It was a scrappy goal after Dipo Akinyemi’s strike ran into his path.
Dulwich won a late penalty when Michael Chambers’ cross was ruled to have been handled. Sheriff scored for the second National League South match in succession.
Nyren Clunis went close in stoppage time to a winner for Hamlet, his shot flashing narrowly wide.
JJ Hooper scored twice for Bromley as they won 2-0 at Hayes Lane against Maidstone United.
Isiah Jones was sent off in Tooting & Mitcham’s 1-1 draw at Marlow in the Isthmian League South Central Division. Chris Ovenden saw red for the home side.
Jones, who had been on an extended trial with Middlesbrough, had put the Terrors in front at the Alfred David Ground but Jordan Edwards equalised just before the break.
Fisher Athletic’s SCEFL Premier Division title hopes suffered a setback as they lost 2-1 at home to Cray Valley PM.
Andy Mott’s 81st minute goal was not enough to rescue anything for the Fish, who are three points behind Corinthian and have played a match more.
Former Charlton striker Kevin Lisbie got Cray’s opening goal.
Bottom club Croydon lost 1-0 at home to Sheppey United. Dominic Ogun’s brace could not prevent AFC Croydon going down 3-2 at Rusthall.
Kennington are second in the First Division and won 4-0 over Forest Hill Park. Tom Scorer netted twice with George Latham and Gary Lockyer notching too.
Lewisham Borough lost 3-1 against Welling Town. Mahmoud Juma was their goalscorer.
