Number of clubs interested in loan deal for Charlton Athletic midfielder

Terry Taylor is being tracked by a number of clubs keen on a loan deal for the Charlton Athletic midfielder.

Addicks manager Nathan Jones has already talked about cutting squad numbers this month with Tayo Edun now off the wagebill after signing for Peterborough United yesterday.

And Taylor is another who the South London club are prepared to move on. It was the same case in the summer transfer window but nothing materialised and the 23-year-old ended up staying.

The former Burton Albion player has made eight League One appearances this season, six of them starts, but has not been in the last four matchday squads.

Taylor’s deal at Charlton runs until the summer of 2026.

Meanwhile the South London Press has been told there has been no firm interest in Allan Campbell, who had been linked with a number of Scottish clubs.

Campbell signed at the start of this season on loan from Luton Town.

The 26-year-old Scot was reunited with Jones, the pair working together at the Hatters, but he has failed to make much of a dent at first-team level – and it was the same story during his temporary stay with Millwall in the previous campaign.

Campbell has made six league starts but been an unused substitute in the last three League One fixtures.
