Erith race sensation, Casey O’Gorman has been selected to race in the prestigious Redbull Rookies Cup in 2022.

Seen as a stepping stone to MotoGP, the series has provided four of the last five Moto3 world champions as of the start of 2021 and will see the top 26 up and coming talent in the world riding identical KTM RC 250 R Moto3 machines across twelve rounds around Europe.

O’Gorman only found out he’d landed a ride in the championship five days after lifting the 2021 British Talent cup title at Donington Park.

“It’s amazing, I’m over the moon.” said O’Gorman, “I think a lot of it is how well I did last weekend (in the British Talent Cup).”

“I went into the weekend knowing I had to do quite a lot to win the championship and I did it and that helped with the selection.

“I’m hoping to do really well in the Redbull Rookies. I think I can after what I did in Estoril (in the European Talent Cup) at the beginning of the year.”
