Oliver Glasner suffers further injury blow to Crystal Palace squad – youngster picks up hamstring problem
Crystal Palace youngster Franco Umeh is set to be out for a number of weeks with a hamstring injury, the South London Press understands.
The Ireland U21 international has been involved with Oliver Glasner’s first-team squad throughout the season and has featured eight times on the bench under the former Wolfsburg boss.
He impressed in training as a left wing-back option and was providing cover for first-team wing-back Tyrick Mitchell.
Umeh, 19, joins an injury list that includes Eberechi Eze, Jefferson Lerma, Chadi Riad, Adam Wharton and Matheus Franca.
Glasner said in his pre-Wolves press conference that he was hoping to have Joel Ward and Chris Richards back involved for this Saturday’s home outing against Fulham.
