Oliver Glasner ‘very confident’ Crystal Palace can keep hold of attacking stars during summer transfer window

Oliver Glasner reaffirmed his belief that Crystal Palace can hold onto their key assets in the summer transfer window after the final day 5-0 win over Aston Villa on Sunday.

Jean-Philippe Mateta netted a hat-trick in the win over Villa, who secured a fourth-placed finish in the top division.

Key duo Eberechi Eze and Michael Olise also got amongst the goal contributions.

Eze scored two – taking his tally to 11 Premier League goals for the season – and Michael Olise picked up an assist.

Olise, 22, has 16 Premier League goal contributions in 19 appearances.

Greenwich-born Eze and ex-Chelsea youngster Olise both have release clauses in their current deals.

Eze and Olise are both expected to have potential suitors in the summer window.

“I’m very confident,” said Glasner.

“They have contracts and they’re here.

“Nobody has told me that they will leave.

“We all did what we can do as Crystal Palace. We showed them we have ambition, how we want to play, what pathway we want to go and which journey we want to ride together.

“They can all play a crucial part in it, show their qualities and strengths. They can express themselves, and it fits together.

“This is what we can do. If something else happens, it’s part of football.”
