One Millwall player who could be back available for Middlesbrough match

Mason Bennett could make his Millwall return for Saturday’s home game against Middlesbrough.

The in-form attacker was forced off in the early stages of the 1-0 win over Sheffield United with a stomach muscle problem.

Bennett did not feature in Saturday’s victory against Reading as the Lions made it five straight Championship wins in a row.

“The next two games there is an outside chance that Mason might be available at the back end of the week,” said Lions manager Rowett. “I certainly can’t see us adding anyone to the group.

“We’ve got a couple who had been ill last week but managed to get through the game. Hopefully there are no massive after-effects of that.

“Then we’re probably then 10 days to two weeks away from the next person coming back. If we get through that period then we’re certainly going to start to look in a better position. I’m reticent to speculate exactly when that will be, in case it doesn’t happen.”
