Igor Vetokele has been re-united with his former Charlton Athletic manager Bob Peeters after signing a deal with Westerlo.
The Addicks released the Angolan striker at the end of last season. His time in SE7 was heavily disrupted by injuries.
Vetokele was partnering Lyle Taylor in the closing weeks of the League One campaign but a quad injury ended his season before the play-offs started.
It was Peeters who signed the forward when he became Addicks boss for a seven-figure sum from Danish side FC Copenhagen.
Westerlo play in the Belgian First Division B.
