Palace goalscorer Milivojevic: I’d swap my goal for three points at Bournemouth

Luka Milivojevic revealed he would rather his Crystal Palace side had taken all three points at Bournemouth than get the credit for the opening goal.
The Serbian scored a fine free-kick just two minutes into the second half, but Bournemouth hit back mid-way through the half, before Wilfried Zaha’s effort and Josh King’s late equaliser.
Milivojevic refused to be too downbeat despite failing to make their second-half dominance count on the South Coast.

He said: ”We had many good chances and dropped two points,
“We have to carry on, if we win the next game then this point could be a big one – and we have to think like that.
“I’m very frustrated after this, because we deserved to win the game for sure, but okay, we can take something from this performance and we can upgrade for the next game.
Milivojevic, who turned 27 on Saturday, has 10 goals this season.
“I would easily give up my goal for the three points,” he said.

The result leaves Palace stuck just one place above the relegation zone, with Southampton directly below failing to make one of their extra games count as they lost 3-2 to Arsenal on Sunday.

Palace have a relatively kind run-in, with Brighton, Watford, Leicester, Stoke and West Brom their remaining fixtures.

Milivojevic says they will stop at nothing to secure their Premier League status for another season.
“We have five games until the end. We should take more points to survive and we will give everything to do it.”
